Rajender Singh, "Introduction to Basic Manufacturing Processes and Workshop Technology"
New Age International (P) Ltd | 2006 | ISBN: 8122423167, 8122418465 | 506 pages | PDF | 3,7 MB

Manufacturing and workshop practices have become important in the industrial environment to produce products for the service of mankind. The knowledge of manufacturing practices is highly essential for all engineers and technocrats for familiarizing themselves with modern concepts of manufacturing technologies. The basic need is to provide theoretical and practical knowledge of manufacturing processes and workshop technology to all the engineering students. Therefore, an attempt has been made through this book to present both the theoretical and practical knowledge of these subjects.

B. Terry Aspin “Foundrywork for the Amateur (Workshop Practice)"
Special Interest Model Books | 1998-12-31 | ISBN: 1854861689 | 112 pages | PDF | 5,2 Mb

This volume is typical of any published by MAP reprints and revised editions bring the way it was done for the hobbyist. In the day. Before everything had to have a digital read out/computer controlled what ever. This gives enough information to a shop person with some experience. The knowledge to cast some small parts, make the pattern and a furnace. By far there are more numerous books out there, with more info and flashier layout. But they could not give you the basic knowledge in 8 chapters. In the ninth chapter he goes over a small scale cupola drop bottom furnace. If for nothing else the explanation of how it operates. The drawings are old school text book style, clear line drawings with notation. the few B&W photos are clear enough to see what they wanted you to. For some one who wants an idea of how to do it, for the price this is the one. I own it. and It was a light couple hour read.
